A weekly look into the Division III Great Lakes Region men’s basketball season.

Episodes

The road to the tournament is beginning to wind its way towards the finish line as February is upon us. Wooster evened up the NCAC race giving Ohio Wesleyan it's second loss and creating a dead heat with 6 games to go. The top 3 in the OAC all held serve as they broke away from the rest of the pack while St. Vincent and Penn State-Behrend continue to march towards their respective conference crowns. Alma and Hope have spread out from the rest of the MIAA creating a huge matchup as the two will face off at DeVos next Saturday in a heavyweight tilt with regional and national implications. In the Coach's Corner segment this week we talked to Grove City head coach Steve Lamie (31:25). His Wolverines are having their best season in years and are back in the conversation in the PAC Conference. We talked about their season, whether or not anyone can unseat St. Vincent in the PAC, and why the Grove City job is his dream job. All this and more in another hour of Great Lakes talk!

Hilbert dropped two this week to relinquish the AMCC lead to a familiar face in Penn State-Behrend. St. Vincent finally slipped in PAC play but remain in control of the conference heading into February. Marietta won the battle for 2nd place in the OAC knocking off Mount Union in Alliance. We turn to the week ahead as Hope and Calvin get set to renew their rivalry this week as Wooster looks to get even with Ohio Wesleyan atop the NCAC standings. Joining me this week in our Coach's Corner segment is Penn State-Behrend head coach Dave Niland (34:13). We talk about how he has taken a roster full of freshman and led them to another hot start and the odds on favorite to win another AMCC title. All this and more in another hour of Great Lakes talk!
